Services for Juanita M. (Fox) Brown, 77, Lawrence, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Brown died Sunday, Nov. 8, 1998, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Leavenworth.
She was born Sept. 19, 1921, in Chicago, the daughter of Robert Claude and Joy Coombes.
She attended college in Chicago, and joined the U.S. Coast Guard in St. Louis during World War II.
Mrs. Brown worked in the Kansas University registrar's office and for the KU Endowment Association in the late 1950s and '60s. She was a member of the American Legion.
She married Dillard Fox on May 15, 1946. He died Dec. 11, 1965. She married C.O. "Buzz" Brown in 1967. He died later that year.
A son, Bob Fox, died on May 11, 1991.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol "Jeanne" Patterson, Lawrence; and two grandchildren.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
