Open auditions will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday for the Seem-To-Be Players' holiday show, "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever."

Auditions will be held on the first floor of the Lawrence Riverfront Plaza Factory Outlets, across from the Seem-To-Players' office. Callbacks will be from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

The play, written by Barbara Robinson, chronicles the misadventures of the Herdmans, the worst children in the world, as they take over their town's Christmas pageant. Told through the eyes of a young narrator, the story gives new meaning to holiday pageants and will put viewers in the holiday spirit.

There are roles for children ages 5-16 and for adults. Families are encouraged to audition together. Rehearsals will be evenings in November and December. The show will be performed Dec. 17-19 at Liberty Hall.
