A Mass of Christian Burial for George Raymond Milleret, 83, Lawrence, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Lawrence. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.

Mr. Milleret died Friday, May 22, 1998, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

He was born Jan. 14, 1915, in Wyandotte County, the son of Louie J. and Mary Reimer Milleret.

He lived most of his life in rural Lawrence. He was a dairy farmer in southern Leavenworth County until his retirement. During World War II, he worked at the Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant as a carpenter. He was a member of the Kansas Farm Bureau and several other farm organizations.

In 1967, he received the Bankers Award for Conservation.

He served as treasurer of the Mackey School District in Leavenworth County and was an active member of St. John the Evangelist Church.

He married Marie Aline Wickey on Oct. 12, 1940, in Tonganoxie. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include three daughters, Joyce Eagar, Cincinnati, Janet VanCleave, Overland Park, and Mary Ring, Vermillion, S.D.; a son, George R. Jr., Tulsa, Okla.; two sisters, Bertha L. Wise, Lawrence, and Marie W. Hallenbeck, Tonganoxie; a brother, Louie J., Lawrence; and 14 grandchildren.

A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. today at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Afterward, the family will greet friends until 8:30 p.m.

The family suggests memorials to St. John's Catholic school or to a charity of the donor's choice. Memorials may be sent in care of the mortuary.

Phillip Cline

Tonganoxie -- Services for Phillip G. ``J.R.'' Cline Jr., 21, Tonganoxie, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie. Burial will be in McLouth Cemetery.

Mr. Cline died Saturday, May 23, 1998, at St. Francis Hospital, Topeka, following a one-car automobile accident west of McLouth.

He was born Jan. 4, 1977, in Kansas City, Kan. He was a 1995 graduate of Jefferson County North High School and was employed by Rainsoft Inc., Lenexa.

Survivors include his father, Phillip G. Sr., McLouth, his mother, Teresa Stark, Tonganoxie; a sister, Janice Kaighin, Tonganoxie; paternal grandmother Phyllis Cline, Tonganoxie; and maternal grandparents Charles and Ramona Carmitchel Jr., Basehor.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Patricia Wilks

Services for Patricia Ann Wilks, 39, Lawrence, are pending and will be announced by Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

Mrs. Wilks died Sunday, May 24, 1998, at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center, Topeka.

She was a longtime resident of Lawrence.
