Lawrence's Jerry Waugh is among three men selected for induction this year into the Kansas Golf Hall of Fame.
Waugh was a director of the Kansas Golf Assn. from 1979 to 1991 and has been re-elected annually as a director emeritus.
Waugh, who has been coach of the Kansas University women's golf team since 1992, helped form the Kansas Golf Foundation in 1990 and continues to serve on its board of directors.
He was also tournament chairman of the Kansas Open, held annually at Alvamar, from 1977 to 1995.
A native of Wellington, Waugh is a former KU basketball player and assistant coach.
Also scheduled for induction this year are Frank Rose, a five-time winner of the Kansas Amateur in the 70s, and the late Ed Skradski, who was executive secretary of the Kansas Amateur Golf Assn. (now the KGA) from 1969 to 1984.
Induction ceremonies are scheduled Nov. 14 at the Adams Alumni Center. For tickets, contact the KGA at 842-4833.
