``It's flown at night because it is a lighted flagpole. If the flagpole was not lighted we would not fly it,'' said Bill Lawrence, assistant Lawrence postmaster.
``As far as bad weather, during severe weather, such as tornadoes or something like that, the flag would be taken down,'' Lawrence said.
The flags are taken down if the weather might damage them, he said.
``The flags are all-weather flags, so we do fly them during rain and snow,'' he said.
