Burglaries and thefts reported

  • A word processor and other items valued on a police report at $4,320 were stolen between 6 p.m. April 24 and 8 a.m. Monday from a vehicle in the 2600 block of Scottsdale.
  • A color television valued on a police report at $1,800 was stolen between 8 p.m. Wednesday and 5:15 a.m. Thursday from a residence in the 1300 block of Wakarusa. A window to the residence was broken, causing $200 damage, police reported.

Police reports

  • Police are investigating a report of aggravated criminal sodomy and aggravated indecent liberties in which a 9-year-old girl was reportedly molested between August 1997 and March 1998 in the 1900 block of East 19th. The suspect in the incident is known to the girl, police reported. A report on the alleged crime was made to police April 1 and made public Thursday.
