A female inmate at the Douglas County Jail protested her confinement by throwing a plate of spaghetti at a jailer and giving another inmate a bump on the head.
Aleshia Rayton, 20, is in ``lock back,'' meaning she is confined to her cell 23 hours a day. Other inmates are allowed into a day area in each cell block from about 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day.
Douglas County Sheriff Loren Anderson said Rayton was upset about the lock back. At 8 p.m. Tuesday, she asked a 22-year-old female inmate to approach her cell. When the other women got close, Anderson said, Rayton grabbed her and pulled her to the cell, bumping her head on the metal bars.
She then threw her dinner, a plate of spaghetti, at a deputy who was in the main hallway near the cell block.
Anderson said charges likely won't be brought against Rayton for the outburst.
