To the editor:

Sunday's editorial cartoon missed the mark. The syndicated cartoonist evidently didn't realize that President Andrew Jackson was NOT "Stonewall" Jackson. It's further unlikely that Stonewall Jackson's portrait would be in the White House, since he died leading an army against the government of the United States.

Those who comment on current historical events and personages should know something about history first.
