These images are among the winning photographs in the British Gas Wildlife Photographer of the Year Competition that are on display at Kansas University's Natural History Museum.

The show, organized by BBC Wildlife Magazine and the Natural History Museum in London, runs through Sept. 6.

The competition draws thousands of entries from a dozen countries each year and is open to both professional and amateur photographers.
