— Mass of Christian Burial for Catherine Lucille Langvardt, 89, Lawrence, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Xavier Catholic Church, Junction City. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Junction City.

Mrs. Langvardt died Friday, June 19, 1998, at a Topeka nursing home.

She was born March 14, 1909, in Geary County, the daughter of Robert and Mary Moritz Allender. She graduated from St. Francis School of Nursing, Topeka, in 1931, and was a private duty registered nurse in the Wichita and Junction City areas for many years. She lived in Lawrence for 25 years before moving to Topeka.

She was a former member of St. Xavier Catholic Church, Junction City.

She married James J. Langvardt on Aug. 27, 1936, in Junction City. He died Feb. 28, 1992.

Two sons, James Richard Langvardt and Lawrence Langvardt, and a daughter, Anna Mae Langvardt, also died earlier.

Survivors include three sisters, Agnes Toy, Topeka, Madeline Garvin, Albuquerque, N.M., and Rose Murray, Garden City.

Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, Topeka.
