School is out for the summer, but 39 Lawrence students are getting a first-hand lesson in international relations and geography.
Twenty students left for Japan June 9. They are planting rice, visiting Lawrence's sister city of Hiratsuka and living with host families. They will return this week.

July 7 marks the departure for students heading to Eutin, Germany. Once there they will visit castles, hike, and, like the Lawrence students in Japan, stay with host families. They will return to Lawrence July 23.
