Burglaries and thefts reported

  • Sixty-two compact discs in a carrying case were stolen between 11 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Sunday from a car parked in the 1700 block of Ohio; the loss was listed on police reports as $1,081.
  • A Chevy Blazer valued at $6,000 was reported stolen from the Kansas University campus between 4:50 p.m. and 8 p.m. Tuesday. The Blazer was recovered in a parking lot east of the Computer Services Facility later Tuesday night. A blue 1980 Oldsmobile Cutlass that had been reported stolen earlier in the city limits was recovered at 10:47 p.m. Tuesday in a lot directly south of the Computer Services Facility. No one has been arrested in the thefts.
