Topeka Mass of Christian Burial for James J. Finn, 50, Topeka, will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Church of the Assumption. Cremation will follow.
Mr. Finn died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998, of injuries suffered in an automobile accident.
He was born Dec. 10, 1947, at Marysville, the son of Robert and Mildred Brychta Finn. He was a 1965 graduate of Marysville High School and a 1972 graduate of Washburn University where he received his bachelor of arts in sociology.
Mr. Finn was the director of patient accounts at Atchison County Hospital in Atchison. He had previously worked as the director of patient accounts for Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from October 1968 to June 1969. He received the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, Air Medal and the Army Commendation Medal.
Mr. Finn was a member of the Church of the Assumption, Knights of Columbus Council No. 1777, was past president of the Kansas Association of Hospital Patient Account Managers and was a member of the Health Care Financial Management Assn.
He married Linda Boyd on July 4, 1970, at Blue Rapids. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include a son, Donovan P., New York City; two daughters, Courtney L. Finn, Las Cruces, N.M., and Bethaney C. Finn, Topeka; and his father, Marysville.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home. A parish prayer service will be held at 7 p.m.
