Services for Adeline Christian Williams, 93, Lawrence, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Town Hall, Pioche, Nev. Burial will be in Masonic/I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Pioche.

She died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 1998, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Williams was born March 7, 1904, in Pioche, Nev., the daughter of Walter and Miriam Price Christian.

She moved in 1995 to Lawrence from Pioche, Nev. She attended the University of Utah and the University of California-Berkeley and taught elementary school in Salt Lake City.

She was a 75-year member of the Order of Eastern Star in Pioche, Nev.

She married Alfred Williams on Sept. 29, 1934, in Ely, Nev. He died May 13, 1958.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Frederickson, Lawrence; a sister, Ruth Ann Sidford, Pioche, Nev.; four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Warren-McElwain Mortuary is handling the local arrangements.

Blanche C. Norris

Services for Blanche C. Norris, 102, Independence, Mo., will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary, Lawrence. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lawrence.

A longtime resident of Lawrence and the Kansas City area, Mrs. Norris died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 1998, at The Groves, Independence, Mo.

She was born Feb. 16, 1896, in Pottawatomie County, Iowa, the daughter of Charles and America Toney Christenson.

Mrs. Norris was raised in Holden, Mo. She was a graduate of Central Missouri State University at Warrensburg in 1952. She was a teacher in the Lawrence school system and taught at Woodlawn and New York schools and retired in 1957. She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Latter-Day Saints and was active until 1984. She was a longtime member of the N.E.A. and K.S.T.A. She enjoyed writing poetry and also wrote a book, ``Memories of One Life Spanning the 20th Century of Mid America.''

In 1929, she married Gilson R. Norris. He preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by three sons, Glendon Norris, Everett Norris, and Wayne Holmes.

Survivors include four daughters, Janice Fountain and Lois Brewster, Independence, Mo., Donna Sintz, Charlotte, N.C., Lorraine Yeubanks, Tulsa, Okla.; four sons, Claude Norris, Independence, Mo., Waldon Norris, Donald Norris and Gerald Norris, all of Lawrence; a sister, Bessie Taylor; 32 grandchildren, 72 great-grandchildren, and numerous great, great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday. The family suggests memorials to the Foundation for Research on Ancient America and may be sent in care of the Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

Mary Ann Norris

Services for Mary Ann Norris, 60, Lawrence, are pending with Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence.

Ms. Norris died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 1998, in Lawrence.
