— A memorial service for William R. Dennis Jr., 85, Raymore, will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Foxwood Springs Living Center's Bramwell Hall.

Mr. Dennis died Monday, Feb. 16, 1998, at Belton Research Hospital.

He was born in Eureka, Kan., and farmed in Brown County, Kan., until 1956 when he moved to Lawrence, Kan.

Mr. Dennis worked for the Kansas Turnpike Authority and the Kansas University Police Department. He retired near Eudora in 1974. He later moved to Shell Knob, Mo., where he lived until moving to Foxwood Springs Living Center in 1991.

He married Inez Petty Dennis. She died earlier. Three children, John Patrick, William R. III and Julie R. Skibbie, also died earlier.

He later married Edith E. Harmon. She survives.

Other survivors include three daughters, Dee Ann Boucher, Kansas City, Mo., Katherine Donatelli, Wescoeville, Pa., and Dana Sue Buchholz, Moorhead, Minn.; two sons, Timothy, Overland Park, and Marcus Harmon, Arroyo Grande, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The family suggests donations to the Fellowship of John, Foxwood Living Center, 500 Mott Dr., Raymore, Mo. 64083.

Cullen Funeral Home in Raymore is in charge of arrangements.
