— Services for Calvin K. Meyer, 73, Basehor, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Quisenberry Chapel, Tonganoxie. Burial will be in Bonner Springs Cemetery.

Mr. Meyer died Saturday, Feb. 14, 1998, at his home.

He was born Dec. 24, 1924, on the family farm near Basehor.

He was president of the 1943 graduating class of Basehor High School. He was a retired dairy farmer.

He was a member of the Wyandotte County Christian Church, Kansas City, Kan., and the Mid-America Dairy Assn. He was the former president of the Leavenworth County Co-op. In 1971 he founded and operated Cowland Farms Inc.

He married Annette Mae DeMille on Oct. 28, 1950, in Kansas City, Mo. She survives.

Other survivors include three sons, Gary, McLouth, and Jeff and Greg, Basehor; a brother, Leonard, Leavenworth; and eight grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the Quisenberry Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorials to the Wyandotte County Christian Church, sent in care of the funeral home, 604 E. Fourth St., Tonganoxie 66086.
