— Memorial services for Delbert Ray Eichinger, 61, Pomona, will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Pomona.

Mr. Eichinger died Monday, Feb. 9, 1998, at his home.

He was born Oct. 14, 1936, in Nash, Okla., the son of William Franklin and Winiefred Marguarite Ioerger Eichinger.

Mr. Eichinger was superintendent of the Ottawa Water Distribution Service. He retired in 1997 after 19 years of service. He also worked for the city of Pomona from 1962 to 1978.

He served in the Navy from 1956 to 1960, and later in the Navy Reserve.

He married Vivian K. Bushnell on July 9, 1957, in Pomona. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Darren, Fredonia; a daughter, Trudy Kae Freeman, Pomona; his parents, Pomona; two brothers, Billy, Olathe, and Jimmie, Vassar; a sister, Zoe Ann Tegethoff, Independence; and three grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to the Kansas Wildlife Federation or Pomona United Methodist Church and may be sent in care of the mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa 66067.
