Board members will consider approval for a change order for a $11,656 overrun on pavement marking.
Twin Traffic Marking has completed pavement marking for the county's road system. The county's contract with the firm was for $145,480, but the total amount of completed work came in at $157,136. The county previously did pavement marking internally but opted this year to outsource the work because of the cost of obtaining and maintaining equipment used on an infrequent basis.
According to a memo from public works director Keith Browning, the original contract amounts were obtained by averaging the gallons of pavement marking paint used by the county during the last three years.
