— Services for Natalie J. Silvey, 68, Ottawa, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Ottawa.

Mrs. Silvey died Tuesday, Dec. 8, 1998, in Ottawa.

She was born March 2, 1930, in Lawrence, the son of Glenn and Esterine Porter Lindsey.

She attended Lawrence High School with the class of 1948. She was a lifelong resident of Ottawa.

Mrs. Silvey was a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church of Ottawa.

She married Audrey M. Silvey Sr. on Sept. 6, 1949, in Ottawa. He died Nov. 27, 1981.

Survivors include her mother, Esterine McDuff, Lawrence; two daughters, Shernice Casteel, Ottawa, and Felicia Thornton, Atlanta, Ga.; four sons, Audrey Silvey Jr., Williamsburg, Leslie Silvey, Darrell Silvey and Marshall Silvey Sr., all of Ottawa; a sister, Mayola Reeves, Lawrence; 17 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. today until the service hour at the mortuary, where family will meet friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday.

The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society or Midland Hospice, and may be sent in care of the mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa 66067.
