Kansas will travel to Iowa next year to complete the home-and-home series created for ESPN-TV. The Jayhawks are scheduled to meet the Hawkeyes on Dec. 7 in Iowa City. The date could change if KU qualifies for the Great Eight. That's because the Great Eight may change its dates so the tourney doesn't coincide with the new Big 10/ACC challenge.
KU also will travel to Alaska next year for the Great Alaska Shootout and Tennessee for a contest with Middle Tennessee State.
KU will visit Chicago for a meeting with Illinois on Dec. 18 at the United Center and will play St. Louis in the Sprint Shootout on Dec. 11 at Kemper Arena.
Penn, Pittsburg State and Maine will visit Allen Fieldhouse. The return trip for DePaul will be pushed back one season.
As far as exempt games, KU will play in Alaska next year, the Coaches Versus Cancer Tourney in 2000-01 in New Jersey, the Maui Invitational in Hawaii in 2001-02.
