Customers of the Journal-World will be asked to use an entrance south of the main doors along New Hampshire Street beginning Thursday morning, when renovation of the main lobby begins.
The work is part of an ongoing project to upgrade various parts of the building, said J-W General Manager Ralph Gage.
The counters and floor of the main lobby will be replaced. The work should be completed by Monday morning, Gage said.
"We're asking customers and employees to use the entrance near the garden/patio area while the lobby is under construction," he said.
The public still will be able to place classified ads and conduct other business while the work is being done, Gage said.
The work will replace counters and flooring that has been in the main lobby for at least 30 years.
