Tonganoxie Services for Mary Jo Nash, 58, Leavenworth, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Quisenberry Chapel, Tonganoxie. Cremation will follow.
Mrs. Nash died Thursday, July 30, 1998, at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Kansas City, Mo.
She was born Nov. 11, 1939, in Leavenworth, the daughter of William and Eileen Bott VanTuyl. She had formerly owned the Green Lantern Cafe, Tonganoxie, and had worked as a stocker at Kmart in Leavenworth.
She was a member of the Tonganoxie school board and served 16 years on the Tonganoxie park board.
She married Bill W. Nash on Feb. 14, 1986, in Tonganoxie. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include a son, Lee Knudsen, Emporia; a stepson, Bill Nash Jr., Kansas City, Kan.; two daughters, Lisa Harkrader and Heather Shoemaker, both of Tonganoxie; a stepdaughter; Wendy Giron, Topeka; her mother, Eileen Bott, San Diego, Calif.; her stepmother, Florence VanTuyl, Lansing; three brothers, Steve Bott, San Diego, Calif., Jeff Bott, Kalispell, Mont., and Andy Bott, Seattle; a sister, Connie Flood, Scottsdale, Ariz.; and nine grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 pm. Monday at Quisenberry Funeral Home.
