Services for Homer Edwin ``Ed'' Chapman Jr., 67, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Cremation will follow.

Mr. Chapman died Thursday, July 30, 1998, in rural Lawrence.

He was born June 14, 1931, in Ottawa, the son of Homer Sr. and Enid Edmonds Chapman. He attended school in Ottawa and McLouth. He worked at Gregg Tire for 23 years and owned and operated Kennel Crest Country Club for Pets from August 1991 to April 1, 1998.

He was a veteran of the Korean War.

He was a member of Alford-Clarke Post No. 852 of VFW, Lawrence.

He married Thelma Janice Tuttle. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include his mother, Enid Chapman, Lawrence; two sons, Scott, Ottawa, and Bruce, Chapman; a daughter, Penny Kaub, Ottawa; two stepdaughters, Kathy Lawson, Lawrence, and Julia Lightner, North Berwick, Maine; and 11 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorials to Lawrence Humane Society, sent in care of the funeral home.
