— Services for Enoch E. Wright, 81, Eudora, will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Eudora United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, north of Oskaloosa.

Mr. Wright died Wednesday, July 29, 1998, at Stormont-Vail Regional Medical Center, Topeka.

He was born Dec. 29, 1916, in Akron, Colo., the son of Edgar and Laura Goodloe Wright. He attended Kansas University and was a former teacher and principal, working at Olive Brand Rural School and at schools in Easton and Winchester.

He was a Eudora resident since 1951 and worked as fire chief and captain of security for Hercules Inc. at the Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant until he retired in 1983.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

He was a member of the Eudora United Methodist Church; the Doric Masonic Lodge No. 83, Eudora; Scottish Rite Bodies of Lawrence; American Legion Dorsey-Liberty Post No. 14, Lawrence; past president of Rock and Mineral Club, Lawrence; and was formerly active in Troop 64 of Boy Scouts, Eudora.

He married Helen Hawk on Dec. 30, 1938 in Laclede, Mo. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, Emmett, Manhattan, and Don, Idaho Falls, Idaho; a brother, Omar, West Palm Beach, Fla.; a sister, Lola Stephens, Savannah, Mo.; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

The family suggests memorials to the Eudora United Methodist Church or to the Doric Masonic Lodge No. 83, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Lawrence.
