— Mass of Christian Burial for Robert L. Kennedy, 67, Silver Lake, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Church of the Assumption, Topeka. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.

Mr. Kennedy died Friday, Sept. 26, 1997, at a Topeka hospital.

He was born April 24, 1930, in Pottawatomie County, the son of Martin and Georgia Immenschuh Kennedy.

He served in the National Guard during the Korean conflict. He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. in 1992 after 39 years of service. He also owned and operated Kennedy Small Engine Service in Silver Lake.

He was a member of the Church of the Assumption, American Legion Post No. 31 in Rossville, and the United Steel Workers of America Local No. 307. He was also active in the Suburban Baseball League in Oakland.

He married Virginia Ransom in Topeka on Oct. 1, 1949. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include five sons, Robert Jr., Topeka, Mark, Hoyt, Kevin, Prairie Village, Carl, Silver Lake, and Christopher, Overland Park; two daughters, Mary McCabe, Lawrence, and Patricia Gatzemeyer, Silver Lake; a brother, Willard, Oskaloosa; two sisters, Vivian Huckaby, Overland Park, and Viviana Rowland, Lawrence; and 13 grandchildren.

Friends may call at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Sunday. A parish rosary will be recited at 6 p.m.
