— Graveside services for Clarence "LeRoy" Crumet, 61, Ozawkie, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Underwood Cemetery, Williamstown. Cremation is planned.

Mr. Crumet died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 1997, in Branson, Mo.

He was born May 27, 1936, in Lawrence, the son of LeRoy J. and Eileen Johnson Crumet.

He lived in Lawrence before moving to the Lake Dabinawa area in Jefferson County in 1965. Later he moved to Ozawkie.

He was a meat cutter and meat market manager for area grocery stores. Mr. Crumet worked for Rusty's Food Centers from 1954 to 1982 and at J.L.'s Food Center from 1982 to 1988, both Lawrence stores. He was employed by Waymire's IGA stores in Leavenworth from 1988 until his retirement in 1995.

He was a member of the North Lawrence Christian Church in Lawrence and of the Meat Cutter's Union Local No. 576.

Mr. Crumet married Barbara J. Buerman Sept. 11, 1955, in Lawrence. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Scott, Lawrence; two daughters, Cindy Wallis, Tonganoxie, and Sarah Kerr, Perry; a brother, Tom, Lawrence; and six grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to the Lawrence Public Library Video Department to purchase nature videos in memory of LeRoy Crumet and may be sent in care of the Barnett Funeral Home, 820 Liberty, Oskaloosa.
