— Services for Alfred E. King, 87, Marsing, Idaho, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Marsing High School gymnasium. Burial will be at the Ozawkie Cemetery.

Mr. King died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 1997, at a Nampa, Idaho, hospital.

He was born May 31, 1910, in Ozawkie, the son of Louis P. and Emma Foster King.

He was raised and educated in Kansas and moved to Nampa, Idaho, in 1933. He worked at the Pacific Fruit Express shop for the Union Pacific Railroad before joining the U.S. Army in 1942. He spent more than three years in the Army during World War II, serving in England, North Africa and Italy. After his discharge, he returned to work for PFE, retiring in 1974.

The family suggests memorials to the Marsing Summer Rec Program or the Marsing Ambulance or Fire Dept.

The Barnett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
