The Cook's Books, at 9071 Metcalf in Overland Park, has announced the new lineup for its program "Secrets of K.C.'s Top Chefs."
This Saturday, the schedule will feature Leo Geismer, executive chef at EBT Restaurant at 11 a.m., and Dan Palmer, executive chef of Hereford House, at noon. At 1 p.m. the Independence (Mo.) Junior League will be on hand, and the day's event will close at 2 p.m. with members of the Avetullo family, owners of IL Trullo/Cafe Italia.
On Sept. 20 the store will bring in Steve Cole from Cafe Allegro at 11 a.m. followed by a 1 p.m. demonstration on selecting and grilling the perfect steak by Jim Perch, executive chef of J. Gilbert's Wood-Fired Steaks.
On both days, free samples will be offered at the Cook's Books Outdoor Bistro.
