Private graveside inurnment services for Eunice Sanderson, 72, Lawrence, will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lawrence.

Mrs. Sanderson died Monday, Sept. 8, 1997, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born Oct. 25, 1924, in Farber, Mo., the daughter of James Maxwell and Marie Evelyn Williams Maxwell. She grew up in Farber and graduated from Mexico, Mo., High School. She moved to Lawrence in 1952 and worked as a cook in McCollum Hall at Kansas University for several years.

She was a life member of V.F.W. Auxiliary.

She married Robert LeRoy Sanderson on Sept. 10, 1971, in Oskaloosa. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include her mother, Lawrence; two daughters, Caryn Holdburg, Fort Gratiot, Mich., and Carol Check, Lawrence; a sister, Mayme Vail, Kansas City, Mo.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A son, John Fabriz, died on June 1, 1983.

The family suggests memorials to Hospice Care in Douglas County.
