Kansas University police are asking for help to catch a suspect who caused more than $15,000 in damage to computers, telephones, scales and chemical bottles in the Kurata Thermodynamics Laboratories.
The suspect broke into the building on the West Campus at 2:30 a.m. Sunday, according to an employee who was there at the time. The suspect has been described as a 5-foot-8-inch tall white male in his 20s, weighing about 180 pounds. The man had curly, black hair and was wearing a light-colored shirt and black pants.
The suspect broke into the building through the front door. The police department is asking anyone with information to call KU Crime Stoppers at 864-8888.
