CLEARLAKE, CALIF. — No services for Edna M. McClelland, 91, Clearlake, Calif., are planned. Her ashes will be interred in Lawrence at a later date.
Mrs. McClelland died Sunday, Nov. 9, 1997, at Meadowood Nursing Home in Clearlake.
She was born in Logan County, Oklahoma Territory, on Jan. 6, 1906, where her parents were tenant farmers.
She completed her education in Oklahoma and became an operator at the telephone company. In 1933, she moved to Lawrence. During World War II, she helped her husband with his taxi cab company. She later lived in Missouri for a few years before moving to California in 1983.
She married Lyle King. He died earlier.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Votaw, Clearlake; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Irlene Transmeier, Mission, Tex., and Vestle Lemon, Lawrence.
