A preliminary hearing for a man accused of fatally stabbing another man in an apartment complex parking lot has been continued to next week.
The hearing for Lafayette Cosby, 18, originally scheduled to begin Monday, has been set for 9 a.m. Nov. 26.
Cosby is charged with voluntary manslaughter in the Nov. 2 stabbing death of of David E. Walker II, 23, Lawrence.
Walker was stabbed several times in a parking lot at Colony Woods apartments, 1301 W. 24th. He died later at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
Cosby remained Monday night in the Douglas County Jail on $35,000 bond.
