During an short meeting Monday, Douglas County commissioners approved some high-technology purchases for the county's Public Works Department
Commissioners gave the green light to $49,073 worth of computer equipment and software, including a computer-aided drafting and engineering design program
They also granted roads in the Eagle Ridge subdivision township road status after an inspection verified they had been built to the county's minimum standards. Clinton Township will now be responsible for maintaining the two roads, which total 0.83-miles in length.
The platted, 17-lot subdivision is located north of County Road 458 between East 750 and East 800 Road, a mile north of Lone Star Lake.
Commissioner Dean Nieder was absent from Monday's meeting.
