— Services for Donald Leo Kesinger, 65, Ozawkie, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Ozawkie United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Ozawkie Cemetery.

Mr. Kesinger died Thursday, Nov. 13, 1997, at Stormont-Vail Regional Medical Center in Topeka.

He was born April 20, 1932, in the Mooney Creek Community north of Winchester, the son of Gale Woodrow Kesinger and Agnes Kramer Kesinger Reynolds.

He had lived at Lake Shore Estates since 1991, moving from rural McLouth where he had lived for many years.

Mr. Kesinger was a longtime member of the Operating Engineers local No. 101 in Kansas City. He was a crane operator and had worked for John Rohrer Contractors in Kansas City. He retired in 1989.

He was chairman of Lake Shore Estates Improvement District, Sewer District No. 6 in Ozawkie and Jefferson County Rural Water District No. 1, also in Ozawkie.

He married Marilyn June Scarlett on Aug. 21, 1950, at Winchester. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include four sons, Kent Leo, Baldwin, Kevin Lee, Lawrence, Merlin Dean, McLouth and Michael Wayne, Kansas City, Kan.; four daughters, Gayla Denise Petitt, Donnita Lynn Kesinger and Kathryn Marie Barnes, all of Ozawkie, and Jean Lohman, Tonganoxie; five brothers, William G., Atchison, Robert Reynolds, Killeen, Tex., Richard Reynolds, Shawnee, Allen Reynolds, Greenwood, Mo., and Charles Reynolds, Ozawkie; four sisters, Juanita Wiley, Trenton, Ill., Susan Voelker, Valley Falls, Sarah Baker and Wilma Reynolds, both of Ozawkie; 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A great-grandson preceded him in death.

Friends may call 3 p.m.-5 p.m. Sunday at Barnett Funeral Home in Oskaloosa.

The family suggests memorials to the piano fund of the Ozawkie United Methodist Church or to the American Heart Assn., sent in care of the funeral home.
