Memorial services for Otto J. Rosenau, 95, Eudora, will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
Mr. Rosenau died Thursday, Nov. 13, 1997, at the Eudora Nursing Center.
He was born July 31, 1902, in Eudora, the son of Max and Mary Kraettli Rosenau. He was a lifelong Eudora area resident. He attended schools in Eudora, graduating from Eudora High School in 1920. He was a mechanic in the Ford Agency in Eudora. He later farmed. He served many years on the Eudora School Board and later drove a school bus, delivered rural mail and worked as a bookkeeper for Co-ops in Gardner and Lawrence.
He was a member of the St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Eudora.
He married Pearl Gabriel on May 15, 1925, in Eudora. She survives at the Eudora Nursing Center.
Other survivors include a daughter, Marilyn Livingood, Eudora; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Shirley R. Foutz, died in October 1968.
The family suggests memorials to the Eudora Nursing Center and may be sent in care of the Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th St., Lawrence, 66044.
