— Services for Naida Pauline DeSha, 73, Independence, Mo., will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, Mo. Burial will be in Milo Cemetery, Milo, Mo.

Mrs. DeSha died Sunday, March 23, 1997, at her home in Independence, Mo.

She was born Feb. 10, 1924, in Sheldon, Mo., the daughter of Elzie Irvin and Iva Gladys Arbuckle Rapp.

She retired from the state hospital in 1976. She moved to the Kansas City, Mo., area after her retirement.

She was a member of the Phillipsburg Christian Church, Phillipsburg, Mo.

Survivors include six daughters, Mary Redman, Blue Springs, Mo., Margaret DeSha, Riley, N.C., Iva Quillun, Independence, Mo., Sandra Hall, Phillipsburg, Mo., Dawn DeSha, Lawrence, and Ruth Hall, Sapulpa, Okla.; two sons, Richard, Spring Lake, N.C., and Randy Lee, Lawrence; eight brothers, Roland Rapp, Independence, Mo., Donald Rapp, Garden City, Mo., Leon Rapp, Drexel, Mo., Buford Rapp, St. Louis, John Rapp, Kansas City North, Mo., B.J. Rapp, Derby, Robert Rapp, Yorktown, Va., and David Rapp, Parkville, Mo.; one sister, Sharon Albertson, Independence, Mo.; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the Ferry Funeral Home chapel.

The family suggests memorials to the American Diabetes Assn. or the National Kidney Foundation.
