Topeka Services for Steven Lee Siple, 52, Topeka, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Northland Christian Church, Topeka. Burial will be at Rochester Cemetery, Topeka.
Mr. Siple died Friday, March 21, 1997, at St. Francis Hospital, Topeka.
He was born May 25, 1944, in Horton, the son of Lyle Lee and Betty R. Coombs Siple.
He lived in Denison before moving to Topeka in 1958. He graduated from Topeka High School in 1962 and attended Washburn University.
He served in the Kansas National Guard. He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad where he was a road property account supervisor. He most recently worked for Topeka Foundry and Iron Works.
He was a member of the Northland Christian Church of Topeka and served as a deacon. He was a member of Capitol Post No. 1 of the American Legion, Topeka Bowling Assn. Board of Directors, and TOPEKS Camping Club. He coached Little League baseball and semipro baseball.
He married Janet Ann Dooley Smith on Nov. 30, 1985, in Topeka. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Scott David, Wichita, and Eric Smith, Lawrence; two daughters, Pamela Logan, Silver Lake, and Machelle Reilly, Overland Park; his parents, Topeka; two brothers, Philip, Topeka, and Timothy, Conyers, Ga.; and four grandchildren.
Friends may call after 11 a.m. today at the Parker-Price Mortuary, Topeka. Friends may visit from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today.
