LHS FORENSICS TEAM COMPETES AT TOPEKA HIGH TOURNAMENT

LHS forensics team

competes in Topeka

The Lawrence High School forensics team attended a tournament last weekend at Topeka High School.

At the Topeka High Student Congress, Tom Seymour was elected outstanding presiding officer in the Senate. Matt Hochstetler was elected as the outstanding senator. Ron Shaver placed third.

In the House competition, Dalton Paley was elected outstanding presiding officer. Matt Gaus, Rich Lloyd and Bidisha Banerjee also won awards.

In the Novice Student Congress, Megan Lewis and Lindsey Gilroy won awards.

Nathan Rodriguez and Hannah Crabb won medals in domestic extemporaneous speaking, and Matt Hochstetler won a medal in international extemporaneous speaking.
