And KU coach Marian Washington was selected the league's coach of the year.
Kansas' other four starters -- seniors Jennifer Trapp and Angie Halbleib, sophomore Nakia Sanford and freshman Lynn Pride -- were named to the honorable mention team.
Dixon was named Big Eight player of the year last season.
"I am just thrilled for her," Washington said. "I honestly feel as if she earned it. This was a great conference race with a lot of great teams, and it reflects on Tamecka that she was able to play as well as she did at such a high level of competition. She worked hard toward helping Kansas win the Big 12 title, and I feel she is very deserving of the honor."
Washington also earned coach-of-the-year honors for the second consecutive season.
Joining Dixon on the all-league first team, by a vote of Big 12 coaches, were Texas Tech's Alicia Thompson, Nebraska's Anna DeForge, Kansas State's Andria Jones and Iowa State's Jayme Olson.
