Sharon Kae Ramberg

Marceline, Mo. -- Services for David Freeman Ramberg, 73, and Sharon Kae Ramberg, 51, both of Marceline, Mo., will be 11 a.m. today at McLaughlin-Scudiero Funeral Home in Marceline, Mo. Graveside services for Mrs. Ramberg will be held at 4 p.m. today at Soldier Cemetery in Soldier.

Mr. and Mrs. Ramberg died Sunday, June 22, 1997, at their home in Marceline, Mo.

Mr. Ramberg was born on Aug. 23, 1923, in Walker, Minn., the son of Freeman and Agnes Dale Ramberg.

He married Joann Anderson in 1947 and they had six children. He married Sharon Kae Hill Romine on Nov. 19, 1983.

Mr. Ramberg was a U.S. Navy veteran who served as a pilot during World War II. He was a salesman and worked for Jostens for 33 years and for Walsworth Publishing for six years before his retirement. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge and the American Legion.

He is survived by four sons, Jim, Topeka, Kan., Steve and Karl, Lawrence, Kan., and Erik, Batavia, Ill.; two daughters, Linda Joler and Laura Ramberg, both of Lawrence; two brothers, Paul, New London, Minn., and Michael, Laughlin, Tex.; a sister, Louise Nordby, Rockport, Tex.; and 13 grandchildren.

Mrs. Ramberg was born July 1, 1945, in Wetmore, the daughter of Arthur Irl and Cleo Alberta Staehli Hill.

She married David Romine in 1964 and they had two children. She married David Freeman Ramberg on Nov. 19, 1983.

Mrs. Ramberg was a longtime employee of the Walsworth Publishing Company in Marceline, Mo., and was a counselor for National Prearranged Services. She was a member of the Ladies Bridge Club.

Survivors include her mother, Marceline, Mo.; two sons, Damon Eric Romine of Los Angeles and Jason Odell Romine of Marceline; six stepchildren, including Steven and Karl Ramberg, and Linda Joler and Laura Ramberg, all of Lawrence; and 13 stepgrandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to the Parkinson's Foundation, which may be left in care of the funeral home.
