Former staff members at Washburn University and Iowa State University have been named directors of Kansas University continuing-education programs.

On July 21, Sharon Graham will assume duties as head of academic and professional programs.

Graham will oversee conferences, short courses for licensure, recertification and professional development as well as events for which KU is host.

She has been director of continuing education at WU in Topeka since 1994. She previously worked eight years at KU.

Meanwhile, Glenn Pribbenow is the new director of Fire Service Training. He oversees a statewide fire service training program.

From 1993 until coming to KU, Pribbenow was field systems manager with the Fire Service Institute at ISU in Ames. He was employed at Oklahoma State University for 11 years prior to serving at ISU.
