Calvary Temple Assembly of God, 606 W. 29th Ter., welcomes its new pastor, the Rev. Marshall Lackrone.

Pastor Lackrone is from Bronson, where he and his wife, Elaine, founded the Hope Chapel Assembly of God Church 20 years ago. He attended Central Bible College in Springfield, Mo., and was ordained in 1973. He has been accepted into the Southeastern Bible College, where he plans to pursue a doctorate in theology.

Calvary Temple recently entered the Assembly of God and Lackrone said his goals include building the congregation.

"We expect to see the church grow in numbers." Lackrone said. "We started Hope Chapel from nothing and when we left there were between 300 and 400 members in adherence. We would like to see that kind of growth here."

Helping the church members expand their knowledge of the Word of God will also be an objective, he said.

The Lackrones have three sons: Luke, Matthew and Jonathan.

Pastor Lackrone's message during the 10:30 a.m. service Sunday is "Our Happy Home." At 6:30 p.m. his message will be "How to Flourish in God."

A new Bible study program "Anchored in the Word," will begin July 9.
