Graveside services for Opal Louise Lee, 83, Casa Grande, Ariz., will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lawrence.
Mrs. Lee died Monday, June 2, 1997, at the Desert Valley Care Center in Casa Grande.
She was born June 24, 1913, in Lawrence, the daughter of Fred and Nancy Wilson Shirk. She was a lifelong resident of Lawrence before retiring to Arizona in the late 1970s. She worked for many years at the Hawk's Nest at Kansas University.
Memberships include the North Lawrence Christian Church and later the Christian Church of Casa Grande.
In September 1941 she married Howard J. Lee. He died Nov. 12, 1982.
Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Standage, Casa Grande, Ariz.; two sons, David Lee, Casa Grande, and Steven Lee, Lawrence; a sister, Ruby Taylor, Lawrence; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
The family suggests memorials to the Olsten Health Service of Casa Grande and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
