The Lawrence Public Library has announced the summer schedule for its bookmobile.

The bookmobile will visit playgrounds and parks Monday through Thursday and will visit senior living centers on Fridays.

At each stop the driver, Carrie Bonebrake, will assist patrons with checking in and checking out books and other materials.

Children may register for summer reading programs at the bookmobile stops.

In conjunction with the city's Parks and Recreation Department, stories also will be told at each stop by Emily Rumbus.

The summer schedule through July 25 is:

Mondays: 9 a.m.-10 a.m., Holcom Park; 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m., `Dad' Perry Park; 1 p.m.-2:30 p.m., Broken Arrow Park.

Tuesdays: 9 a.m.-10 a.m., Centennial Park; 10:30 a.m.-1:30 a.m., Edgewood Park; 1 p.m.-2:30 p.m., Deerfield Park.

Wednesdays: 9 a.m.-10 a.m., Prairie Park; 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m., John Taylor Park; 1 p.m.-2:30 p.m., South Park; 3 p.m.-4 p.m., Clinton Park.

Thursdays: 8:30 a.m.-9 a.m. Wakarusa School; 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m., Woodcreek Townhomes; 1 p.m.-1:15 p.m., East Heights School; 1:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m., Pinetree Townhomes.

Fridays: 9 a.m.-noon, Brandon Woods (June 6 and 20 and July 18); 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Vermont Towers (June 13 and 27, and July 11 and 25); 11 a.m.-noon, Drury Place; 1 p.m.-2 p.m., Hy-Vee.
