— Memorial services for Alma Mae Steinmetz, 85, Wittenberg, Wis., will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Runyan Chapel, Louisburg. Inurnment will be in the Louisburg Cemetery.

She died Thursday, Sept. 5, 1996, at the Romme Home for the Aged in Wittenberg, Wis.

Mrs. Steinmetz was born Jan. 27, 1911, in Louisburg, the daughter of John and Rebecca York. She had lived in the Shawnee Mission area before moving to Tigerton, Wis., in 1989. She later moved to Wittenberg in 1993.

She worked as a pastry cook for the Trinity Lutheran Hospital in Kansas City, Mo., before she retired. She later cared for children in her home.

Mrs. Steinmetz was married to Henry Otto Steinmetz, who died April 29, 1984.

She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Handschke, Tigerton, Wisc., and Annabelle McClelland, Lawrence; two sisters, Bessie Lowrey, Osawatomie, and Hazel Waller, Hampshire, Tenn.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The Runyan Funeral Home of Louisburg is in charge of the arrangements.
