A story in Friday's edition of the Journal-World may have been unclear.
An April 25 ruling by U.S. District Judge Albert V. Bryan Jr., of Virginia, found that the Indiana-based Berry Sterling Corporation's patent infringement case against Pescor Plastics to be invalid.
On March 4, PackerWare Corp. filed proactive legal action against Berry Sterling stating that Berry's patent was invalid.
The judge's recent ruling upholds PackerWare's position and annuls the tapered cup patent. However, PackerWare was not directly involved in Bryan's ruling.
