Baldwin — City officials want to talk trucks with Baldwin residents.
The city council's Public Works Committee has scheduled a meeting at 7 p.m. June 4 to talk about truck routes and a potential prohibition against on-street parking along the routes.
Council members have established routes on U.S. Highway 56 between the east and west city limits; Douglas County Road 1055 between the north and south city limits; and Lawrence Street between U.S. Highway 56 and the south city limits.
Truck and farm implement traffic is prohibited elsewhere in the city.
On June 4, committee members will seek comment on the routes and on-street parking.
The meeting will be held at the public library, 800 Seventh.
