— Services for Arlene Ann McDaniel, 55, Lawrence, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Eudora.

Mrs. McDaniel died Saturday, May 18, 1996, in Simsbury, Conn.

She was born Aug. 2, 1940, in Eudora, the daughter of Howard and Ann Meuffels Whaley.

She was a 1958 graduate of Lawrence High School. She also graduated from the Weaver Airline Academy and was a flight attendant for Braniff Airlines. She had lived in Simsbury and West Simsbury, Conn., for many years and owned and operated the Arlene McDaniel Gallery Inc. for 20 years. She also ran the Ellsworth Gallery and the Wiley Gallery.

She was a member of the Simsbury United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her mother, of Eudora; a daughter, Kathleen Moody, Simsbury; a son, Kevin McDaniel, Simsbury; a brother, Kenneth Whaley, Baldwin, and a sister, Sharon Porter, Nortonville.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, Lawrence, where the family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

The family suggests memorials to Simsbury United Methodist Church.
