ACCIDENTS KILL TWO IN FRANKLIN COUNTY

— Two people were killed in separate auto accidents in Franklin County, including a 55-year-old Wichita woman whose car went out of control of Interstate 35.

Barbara J. Olmsted lost control of her car about 11 a.m. Thursday near the junction of U.S. 59, said Franklin County Undersheriff Craig Davis. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Nick Cornett, 43, of rural Greeley was killed after driving an all-terrain vehicle through a barbed-wire gate on a ranch in southeast Franklin County about 8:15 a.m. Thursday, Davis said.
