Dr. Mikell Adams, D.O. attended the annual spring convention/educational seminar of the Kansas Chiropractic Assn. April 27-28.

Adams will receive 10 hours of credit towards her chiropractic license renewal and two credit hours from Blue Cross Blue Shield.

The marketing/creative services team for the Golf Superintendents Association of America headquarters staff has won a gold award in the 1996 Society of National Association Publications Excel Awards competition.

GCSAA'S entry, the 1996 Orlando International Golf Course Conference and Show publications, received the award in the convention publications, convention marketing campaign category. The marketing/creative services team consists of Teri Harris, manager; Krista Wagner and Kristi Frey, coordinators; Kelly Neis and Lisa Slavin, graphic designers; and Bev Schuster, production/mail supervisor.

Ora H. Reynolds has been named director of residential development for Hunt Midwest Real Estate Development Inc.

Reynolds joined Hunt Midwest in 1991 as manager of new business development and moved to manager of residential development in 1994. Reynolds is a 1985 graduate of Indiana University with a bachelor's of science degree in finance.

She is the daughter-in-law of Charles A. and Priscilla M. Reynolds of Lawrence.

Maxine Martin has been hired by Laser Logic, a computer and printer sales company at 2214 Yale Rd.

Martin will be responsible for business development and has lived in Lawrence for four years.

Brad Farmer recently obtained his Brother service authorization for printers and fax machines. He is a service technician and has worked for Laser Logic for four years.

Orscheln Farm & Home stores of Lawrence has been awarded the "Top Gun of Customer Service" for the Spring of 1996 out of 74 Orscheln Farm & Home stores.

The contest focuses stores on product knowledge, customer service, store layout, accessibility and parking lot cleanliness.

Eric Daigh will be the new co-anchor for the 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. broadcasts of Nebraska Television News.

Daigh is a 1989 graduate of Kansas University, where he received a bachelor of science degree in broadcast news. He is a 1994 graduate of Lawrence High School and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Daigh.

Ed Hiscock, has been named managing editor of Golf Course Management, the monthly magazine of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America.

Hiscock will be in charge of the day-to-day operations of the magazine. He holds a bachelor's degree in English and political science from Western Michigan University and a master's degree in journalism from Kansas University.

Olene Sturdevant Agency, representing Farmers Insurance Group of Companies, has recently moved its office to the Malls Shopping Center, 711 W. 23rd, Suite 18.

The move was necessary to keep pace with the rapid growth of business.

The agency was also in attendance at the recent state conference of the Kansas Association of Life Underwriters in Lawrence.
